What started as a small hip hop project with friends evolved into a full fledged hip hop documentary now known as Hip Hop Below Zero. The day I walked into the Fifth Element on Hennepin in Minneapolis and was treated to a private freestyle session between Eyedea and Felipe Cuauhtli I knew I had found a story that had to be told.
Hip Hop Below Zero is the story of Twin Cities Hip Hop as told through several of the most prominent hip hop heads in the midwest. Coming up in a city that is isolated from the main hubs of the music industry combined with a winter that lasts 8 months of the year has created a culture of brotherhood that has fostered one of the most innovative and influential sounds in hip hop today.
The new remastered DVD comes with never before seen special features and much more.
